Hotel Penaga is located at GeorgeTown of Penang Island, Malaysia. The hotel was converted from a cluster of 15 post-war terraces and shophouses, facing Hutton Lane, Transfer Road and Clarke Street, into a heritage boutique hotel that maintains the character of the heritage zone while meeting the highest modern expectations.
Hotel Penaga is a green building rating for features such as inverter air-conditioners (with a choice in each room of aircon or ceiling fans), recycled rainwater to flush toilets, second hand timber used in the renovation, recycled reconstructed Chinese antique furniture, LED lights, LED TVs and photovoltaic panels generating power for the national power grid.
All rooms have original works from renowned and emerging Southeast Asian contemporary artists.
